reviewbook

Reviews only a paying buyer can write

When an order arrives, reviewbook sends the buyer one email from your shop. They write on one screen, with no account to make. Their words are kept with the date and the order they belong to. Your page prints them with a 2 KB script that sets no cookie and follows nobody.

The Book, As It Prints

Seed run, 13 October 2026. Our build wrote these entries through the test path to show how your page prints them. No buyer has written a reviewbook review yet.

How It Asks

  1. The order is marked delivered, or you send its Stripe Checkout Session id to /api/request.
  2. reviewbook reads that session from your own Stripe account and asks only when it is paid and carries your shop's tag.
  3. One email goes out from your shop's sender with a signed link. Each order is asked once, ever.
  4. The buyer picks their stars and writes up to 1,200 characters. Markup is stripped and the words are kept as written.
  5. From the desk you can hide a review. Nobody can edit one, including you.

Paste this where the reviews should print:

<div data-reviewbook-feed="https://reviews.painted.app/api/reviews/<your-shop-tag>.json"></div>
<script src="https://reviews.painted.app/reviewbook.js" defer></script>

No Average, Ever

Each entry prints its own stars and nothing sums them. An average made of fewer than ten reviews tells a reader more about chance than about your shop, so the snippet never shows one. There are no discounts for a review and no imports from other sites, because a review someone was paid for is an advertisement.

We built this for our own shops first. On 13 October 2026, 39 of our repositories carried the marker [[REAL PROOF NEEDED]] in 100 page files, ten of them Painted shops, because nobody had asked a buyer for a word.
